Mr Weasel’s music is a crossbreed of electro latin and dub made with vintage organs, synths and vocal samples. Sometimes Lo-Fi, sometimes chunky and beaty, the music created is largely improvised. Mr Weasel Goes Electro is formed by Mr Weasel (aka Julien Pablo Escobar) ..boards and Implification (aka Matthew Porter) on bass guitar. The duo is able to alternate subtly between colourful ambient improvs and electro beats on the fly with a good dose of performing eccentricity and quirkiness. Julien Pablo Escobar has also been performing with Cane 141 since 2007 and is part of the Flying Acrobats and Elektrische Muzzikae. Past performances include Galway Arts Festival, Project06, Cuirt, Silent Light, Artisit, Dun Laoghaire festival of world cultures, Electric Picnic, Tulca and DEAF festival.
